40 Mile Trucker Protest Mandate, Trudeau Says Small Fringe Minority Holding Unacceptable Thoughts

Thousands of truck drivers are set to converge upon Ottawa protesting vaccine mandates and other health mandates.

It’s not just about the vaccines. It’s about stopping the public health mandates altogether,” said Daniel Bazinet, owner of Valley Flatbed & Transportation in Nova Scotia.

NY Post

Kevin Trudeau said the 40 mile convoy of more than 2700 trucks, along with other protesters, represent a “small fringe minority” who are “holding unacceptable thoughts.”

One Severe Allergic Reaction to COVID Vaccine Reported

An Alaskan health worker had a serious allergic reaction from the new coronavirus vaccine. She is now stable, public health authorities said on Wednesday.

The Alaskan patient did not have a history of allergic reactions, Lindy Jones, the director of the emergency department in the capital Juneau where the patient was treated, told reporters at a virtual briefing.

The adverse reaction happened within minutes of receiving the Pfizer shot on Tuesday. The symptoms in the middle-aged patient resolved after being administered with allergy treatment epinephrine, Jones said. This reaction was similar to two cases reported last week in Britain.

Two British people with severe allergies apparently had allergic reactions to Pfizer/BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine, raising questions about whether it is safe for people with preexisting allergies.

USA Today

Britain’s medical regulator stated that people with a history of anaphylaxis, or severe allergic reactions to medicine or food, should not get this COVID-19 vaccine.

But the U.S. Food and Drug Administration says most Americans with allergies should be safe to receive the vaccine. Allergic reactions were not a significant problem in the U.S. trial where more than 20,000 people got two doses of the vaccine, but the U.S. trials did not test on subjects who have had severe allergic reactions in the past, according to Moncef Slaoui, co-head of Operation Warp Speed which is the government program tasked with developing and distributing COVID-19 vaccines.

Pfizer stays the vaccine comes with a clear warning that appropriate medical treatment and supervision should always be readily available in case of anaphylaxis, and that they would update the labeling language for the vaccine if needed.

Note to Social Media Fact Checkers:

Vaccines do not ever cause damage. Vaccines are perfectly safe. You do not need to detox from vaccinations. Donald Trump and His Wife Tested Positive for Coronavirus, Trump Hospitalized

President Trump said late Thursday on Twitter that he and the first lady, Melania Trump, would start the “quarantine process” as they awaited results of coronavirus tests they took after a senior adviser who is often with the couple tested positive.

Melania Trump wrote on Twitter at 1:27 AM on Oct 2, 2020, that she and Trump “…are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements.”

It was not immediately clear what Mr. Trump meant by the “quarantine process,” and White House officials declined to immediately provide any guidance. As of 11:30 p.m., the president still had a full day of events planned for Friday, including a private fund-raiser at the Trump International Hotel in Washington and a campaign rally in Florida. He was also scheduled to hold a call with “vulnerable seniors” about the coronavirus.

Mr. Trump’s positive test result posed immediate challenges for the future of his campaign against former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., the Democratic nominee, with barely a month until Election Day. Even if Mr. Trump, 74, remains asymptomatic, he will lose much of his remaining time on the campaign trail. If he becomes sick, it could raise questions about whether he should remain on the ballot at all.

The White House did not say how long Mr. Trump would have to remain isolated, but it canceled his plans to fly to Florida for a campaign rally on Friday, stripping his public schedule for the day of everything except a midday telephone call “on Covid-19 support to vulnerable seniors.” Appearances at rallies in Wisconsin on Saturday and in Arizona on Monday also appear sure to be scrapped, and the next debate, scheduled for Oct. 15 in Miami, was left up in the air.

Some have questioned whether Trump is really asymptomatic or not while Michael Moore has accused the president of pretending to have coronavirus to postpone the election.

Update 10/3/20

Trump was admitted to Walter Reed Hospital for overnight care.

Trump himself was said to be spooked after he announced he tested positive early Friday, and has become increasingly alarmed by his diagnosis as he developed symptoms like a fever overnight, according to a person familiar with his reaction. Several people in Trump’s close orbit have tested now positive for coronavirus, including campaign manager Bill Stepien, former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway and adviser Hope Hicks.

A Trump adviser said there is reason for concern about the President’s health. “This is serious,” the adviser said. The adviser went on to describe Trump as very tired, very fatigued and having some trouble breathing.A source familiar with the situation said White House officials have serious concerns about Trump’s health and a top administration official told CNN that Trump is “OK for now, but our fear is that things can change quick. “A third source said the President’s condition is worse than first lady Melania Trump’s.

CNN

Update

Trump returned from the hospital, and his first public act after walking up the South Portico steps was to remove his mask. CNN points out that he remains infected with coronavirus and could potentially infect people nearby, though outdoor transmission is not necessarily happening.

“We’re going back. We’re going back to work. We’re gonna be out front,” Trump said in a videotaped upon his return. “As your leader, I had to do that. I knew there’s danger to it, but I had to do it.

“Though four hours earlier his doctors conceded he was not yet “out of the woods” in his fight against Covid-19, Trump framed the disease as in the past: “Now I’m better and maybe I’m immune? I don’t know. But don’t let it dominate your lives.”

FDA Acknowledges Amalgam Fillings Potential Harm for Pregnant Women & Children

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has updated guidelines for dental amalgams:

Dental amalgam fillings may release small amounts of mercury in the form of a vapor (gas), depending on the number and age of existing fillings, and actions such as tooth grinding and gum chewing. When a new amalgam filling is placed or an old filling is removed, patients and healthcare providers may experience a temporary increase in exposure to mercury vapor. While there are no known health risks associated with ingestion (swallowing) of small particles of dental amalgam, inhaling (breathing in) mercury vapors may be harmful in certain patients.

In general, people with multiple dental amalgam fillings may have slightly higher mercury levels in their blood or urine, however, they usually remain at a level considered safe. Studies on people with dental amalgam do not show conclusive evidence that dental amalgam causes harmful health effects in the general population.

FDA

The FDA goes on to state that certain people, “including women who are pregnant or who are planning to become pregnant, nursing mothers, children (especially those under the age of six), people with a known allergy to mercury, and people with a neurological impairment or kidney dysfunction,” could be more susceptible to damage caused by dental amalgam. They recommend that anyone who is of the “high-risk populations identified” should avoid dental amalgam “if possible and appropriate.”

The FDA says that groups with greater risk for potential harmful health effects of mercury vapor include:

  • People with known heightened sensitivity (allergies) to mercury or other components of dental amalgams
  • People with pre-existing neurological conditions
  • Pregnant women and developing fetuses
  • Nursing women and their babies
  • Children, especially younger than six years
  • People with poor kidney health

COVID Second Wave Is Happening All Over Europe, Except in Sweden

While most countries across Europe are seeing a resurgence in coronavirus cases, Sweden is not.

Image: The streets of Stockholm are quiet but not deserted. After a long, dark Scandinavian winter, the coronavirus pandemic is not keeping Swedes at home even while citizens in many parts of the world are sheltering in place and won’t find shops or restaurants open on the few occasions they are permitted to venture out. (AP Photo/David Keyton, File)

Sweden did not impose strict limits on citizens’ rights. People went to work and ate at restaurants and faced very few restrictions. Children in lower grades attended school, but high schools and universities utilized distance learning.

Businesses stayed open. Those who could work from home were advised to do so, but no laws were passed and no orders were given telling people to stay home. The government did ask it’s citizens to refrain from non-essential travel and asked people to practice social distancing and hand washing. They restricted visits to nursing care facilities, and Sweden prohibited gatherings of 50 or more.

People in Sweden aren’t likely to wear masks either. Sweden’s top infectious disease expert, Anders Tegnell, resisted recommending face masks for the general population. Anders has repeatedly expressed skepticism that face masks will control virus outbreaks.

It is very dangerous to believe face masks would change the game when it comes to COVID-19.”

Anders Tegnell, chief epidemiologist at Sweden’s Public Health Agency,

Sweden has been working towards herd immunity, a concept where so many people contract the virus that the population develops natural resistance without the need for a vaccine.

The “herd immunity” concept is an approach in stark contrast to Sweden’s neighbors like Finland, which banned gatherings of 10 or more, declared a state of emergency, and closed all schools, restaurants, cafes, and bars.

India imposed a lockdown for 1.3 billion people, and Germany banned crowds of two or more people.

Now Sweden’s policies look like they may have worked. Sweden is doing more and more testing as they see cases continue to decline.

As of September 16th World Meters reports that Sweden has had 87,345 coronavirus cases along with 5,851 deaths. As you can see, new cases and deaths have remained steady and near-flat:

750 Million GMO Mosquitoes Approved for release in Florida Keys

The plan to release over 750 million genetically engineered mosquitoes into the Florida Keys in 2021 and 2022 has final approval from local authorities, despite objections from many local residents and environmental groups.

The proposal had already won state and federal approval.”With all the urgent crises facing our nation and the State of Florida — the Covid-19 pandemic, racial injustice, climate change — the administration has used tax dollars and government resources for a Jurassic Park experiment.

Now the Monroe County Mosquito Control District has given the final permission needed. What could possibly go wrong? We don’t know, because EPA unlawfully refused to seriously analyze environmental risks, now without further review of the risks, the experiment can proceed.

This pilot project is designed to see if genetically engineered mosquitos are a viable alternative to spraying insecticides to control the Aedes aegypti, also known as the yellow fever mosquito. This species carries several deadly diseases including Zika, dengue, chikungunya, and yellow fever.

The GM mosquito has been named OX5034. It has been altered to produce female offspring that die in the larval stage before they can bite and spread disease.

These mosquitos are also approved to be released in Harris County, Texas according to Oxitec, the U.S.-owned, British-based company that developed the GMO.

Do you think these GM mosquitoes are a better choice than spraying pesticides? Or is there a better alternative?

Natural Coronavirus Prevention

It’s important to note that when looking at studies for supplementation to prevent or help treat coronavirus we’re usually looking at research on supplement efficacy for other viruses. We’re dealing with a novel virus with this pandemic. But, the body is a holistic, complex system. Having a body in homeostasis during a pandemic only makes sense. And while coronavirus is new and different, it’s still a virus. And we have a lot of good science on how to help prevent virus infections.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C has long been touted to cure everything from cancer to liver failure. Studies show that ingesting vitamin C supplements does not seem to be the cure-all we’d hoped for but the studies that administer intravenous vitamin C look very promising. If our pharmaceutical industry had our best interests at heart patients who are being treated for severe cases of coronavirus would be administered IV Vitamin C, and many lives would likely be saved.

Regular injections aren’t practical for normal people, and we suspect there might be a few side effects if people use injections regularly as a preventative measure. But Vitamin C injections do show a lot of promise for treating many diseases.

This is not to say that vitamin C supplementation is useless. If you don’t have enough vitamin C in your body when you get sick the vitamin C may reduce severity and duration, but not much. A better way to get enough vitamin C in order to prevent disease is to eat the right foods before there is a health issue.

If you think you may be low on vitamin C, liposomal is the more absorbable form of vitamin C.

It’s not a magical cure-all, but Vitamin C supplementation does make sense for most people with conventional diets.

Zinc

Zinc helps your immune system fight off infection, helps the body heal wounds, and is needed for making protein and DNA.

There have been several studies testing whether zinc supplements can help treat or prevent the common cold. A comprehensive review of 18 of such studies showed zinc is may reduce the duration of patients’ common cold.

Studies also show that colds, school absences, and antibiotic prescription rates are lower in for those who take zinc supplementation regularly, suggesting that zinc could also prevent colds.

The National Institutes of Health says oysters as the best food source of zinc avaialble. Another benefits of oysters is they have copper in just the right amount to make the zinc more easily absorbed and assimilated (if you don’t have enough copper you can’t get enough zinc). You can also get zinc from red meat, legumes, nuts, whole grains, and dairy.

Zinc has been proven to reduce symptoms of illnesses from rhinoviruses by messing with the viruses’ RNA replication, but there are no studies yet that look at zinc with COVID-19. We don’t know how similar COVID-19 is to rhinoviruses, but it is possible that zinc could mess with the RNA replication of coronavirus in a similar way. Regardless, getting enough zinc to keep your immune system strong makes sense for the other aforementioned reasons.

Glutathione

COVID-19 deaths are usually attributed to a “cytokine storm”, which is a physiological feedback loop where our body creates an excessive release of cytokines, a pro-inflammatory signaling molecule. A new study has evaluated the treatment of two patients with COVID-19 pneumonia who were given IV and orally administered glutathione.

Oral and IV glutathione, glutathione precursors (N-acetyl-cysteine) and alpha lipoic acid may represent a novel treatment approach for blocking NF-κB and addressing “cytokine storm syndrome” and respiratory distress in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia.

Science Direct – Respiratory Medicine Case Reports

Obviously, this is only two cases that were studied. We need a lot more information. But there are some other papers that support supplementing with glutathione, but there is nothing yet conclusive.

Dr. Richard Horowitz is a board-certified internist with a private integrative medicine practice. He is considered to be one of the best Lyme disease doctors and he’s built a practice around combining conventional treatments with alternative, naturopathic methods to treat Lyme disease. Dr. Horowitz has treated patents successfully with glutathione therapy.

“It is a miracle and it’s not,” says Horowitz of glutathione, which he has used on thousands of patients in his medical practice over the past 30 years. “It’s already in the literature—there are published articles on glutathione showing that it has anti-viral activity against herpes viruses, HIV, and hepatitis. The problem is, all of the COVID research is happening through pharmaceutical companies. No one is looking at natural approaches. You hear a little about how low vitamin D might put you at risk, so it’s coming out in dribs and drabs.” And just like with vitamin D, you can be deficient in glutathione—especially if you’ve been exposed to a lot of environmental toxins (which is everyone). Older people are also more likely to be depleted of the compound.

Two Potential Treatments for COVID-19 Unfold in the Hudson Valley

Vitamin D

Dr. Rhonda Patrick at Found My Fitness thinks vitamin D may be what those who are getting hit with COVID-19 are missing. Other interesting points include:

  • People with genetic predisposition to lower vitamin D levels are more likely to die of respiratory disease
  • People with normal vitamin D levels are less likely to die from respiratory disease
  • Too much vitamin D can be toxic, though concerns of hypercalcemia tend to be overblown
  • Vitamin D and Vitamin K increase may increase bone density and prevent hypercalcemia
  • Don’t be concerned with eating “too many leafy greens” and issues with oxalates, kidney stones, etc.

Gut Health

This is the key. Not just for coronavirus defense, but for our health in every physical aspect of our lives. You cannot have a healthy gut and be low in vitamin D, or zinc, or other nutrients. Gut health is everything. When the best farmers see a sick plant they treat their soil’s microbiome first and foremost. When we’re sick, our microbiome is off. When we’re well and everything is working optimally we have a balanced, healthy gut to thank.

In the first case of novel coronavirus reported in the U.S., the patient reported two days of nausea and vomiting along with diarrhea in addition to respiratory symptoms. In some small studies, researchers have linked patients with gastrointestinal issues to poorer coronavirus outcomes. Poor gut health seems to equate to severe disease symptoms including higher fevers and a greater risk of liver injury.

The suggestion is that the gastrointestinal symptoms are caused by the virus invading the ACE2-containing cells that are found throughout the bowel. This, together with the presence of the virus in the stool, suggests the gastrointestinal tract as another possible route of infection and transmission.

The Conversation – Worried about coronavirus? Pay attention to your gut

But it’s not just that the virus attacks the gut. Science is on the verge of discovering that our gut microbiome supplies our entire body with its microbiome. And what they don’t yet know, but is nevertheless true, is that a body with a healthy, diverse, and plentiful microbiome is a much less hospitable host for foreign invaders.

The health of our gut bacteria plays a crucial role in how our immune system reacts to every disease, including coronavirus. Diet is crucial to developing and maintaining healthy gut flora. The wider variety of raw vegetables and herbs one consumes, the more diverse one’s gut bacteria will be. And diversity is key to a healthy microbiome.

This article, How To Heal Your Gut, goes into detail about how to develop a healthy gut microbiome and is the basis for ridding the body of and being less susceptible to nearly every disease.
