OLM’s Chief Editor Responds to Vaccine Letters

   Dr. Tim O'Shea is an expert in the dangers and efficacy of vaccinations. While we share his beliefs, we want our readers to know we feel everyone is entitled to respect, regardless of their opinions. We asked Dr. O'Shea to re-write his letter, to leave out the name calling and the disrespectful tone, or to allow us to edit it. He refused. He told us we could print the letter as is, or not at all.
   Please understand that we at OLM do not condone name calling. We fear it stands in the way of open debate and leads to undue polarization on an already heated topic. It is never our desire to alienate readers who hold opposing views. At the same time, we do wish to save as many lives as possible and therefore felt it necessary to publish both letters.
   We whole heartedly believe the vaccination industry is corrupt. We do believe this industry utilizes the best brainwashing campaigns ever perpetrated on the American people in the name of health.
   My father contracted polio within weeks of receiving a polio vaccination. My brother and I were vaccinated for whooping cough. Both of us caught it and infected our vaccinated mother.  
   Studies have shown the incidence of a targeted disease increases as a direct result of a vaccination campaign. Could any result be more damning? Doesn't this one fact say it all? And yet we persist! We continue vaccinating children with mercury! What is really going on here?
   Yes, Dr. O'Shea is passionate about this subject; he feels we are at war. And while we don't agree with the way he expressed himself in his letter, we do share his passion and determination to educate parents on the dangers of vaccinations. We have asked him to contribute new information in upcoming issues, looking at individual vaccines and studies related to them.
