Zevia® is the first diet soft drink sweetened with stevia to be marketed in the U.S. Though stevia must still be marketed as a supplement, not a sweetener, ignoring its use as a food for hundreds of years, Zevia’s “supplement drink” is shelved alongside other soft drinks.
   Three zero calorie flavors are currently being sold in recycled aluminum cans: Zevia® Natural Cola (free of phosphoric acid), Zevia® Natural Orange, and Zevia® Natural Twist.
   We at OLM had the chance to taste test this new beverage. These sodas do not have the stevia aftertaste many are familiar with, and taste great. But note: we do not recommend consuming drinks from aluminum cans. Aluminum can leach into the beverage (even more so with the extremely acidic conventional soft drinks) and is very toxic to our health.
