Pfizer has been ordered to pay a record $2.3 billion in fines for illegal drug promotions

   Federal prosecutors hit Pfizer Inc. with $2.3 billion in fines on September 2, 2009, and said that the world's largest drug company is a repeat offender with illegal drug promotions. The allegations involve marketing of 13 different drugs, including Viagra, Zoloft, and Lipitor.
