Dan Laks, a neuroscience researcher at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, has completed a study of 6,000 women. His conclusion is that the level of inorganic mercury in the blood of American women has been increasing and that one in three women has mercury in their blood.
He further concludes that inorganic mercury deposition in the human body is a cumulative process, which increases within the body with age. His research also shows a significant increase within the general population from 2% to 30% from 1999 to 2006.
His final conclusion? As exposure and accumulation rise, so will associated neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases such as autism and Alzheimer’s. Click here to read more. ![]()
