Egypt Bans Genetically Modified Food

   Egypt has announced a ban on all imports and exports of GMO foods. After rejecting one or more shipments of Russian wheat as not fit for human consumption, Egypt’s Agriculture Minister, Amin Abaza, stated that all imported and exported crops must be accompanied by a certificate from the country of origin stating they are free of genetically modified materials.
